its really sad. white ppl wanting to be darker by going to tanning salons, dark ppl using whitening creams, the human race is scrued up. if we look back in time, it is said that if you have fairer skin, it means you are wealthy or you are of higher status, and you don't have to go outside and work in the hot sun all day. it is what was believed, and it's a sad theory.

It's not about wanting to be "white," as in Caucasian. If you know anything about the Asian culture, then maybe you'll know that most Asians prefer to have a lighter blemish-free complexion. It's been like this for centuries and it's got nothing to do with striving to look like another race.
